Hello and welcome to my blog!!

Sorry I’m late to the party (aka the blogging world)…although blogging is something I’ve often thought about doing, it’s taken me many years to finally start one! The reason I have started this blog is, (like so many others have already said) it’s a way to journal, to share,to grow and to be inspired.  It’s easy to take for granted the “little things” in life, and my goal is to turn each “little” day into a reason to celebrate and be grateful by realizing it fully and sharing it with all of you!

I’ll summarize a little about me here (to read more, please go to the “About Me” page)….

First off, I’m a farm wife, mom, and jack-of-all-trades (or at least TRY to be).  Most days I spend running around like a crazy person, trying to feed our 18-month old baby (ahem!) toddler, my husband, and 2 big dogs.  I spend my days cooking, quilting and longarm machine quilting, gardening, addicted to Pinterest, online shopping (hopefully my husband doesn’t read this!), and just trying to keep up!

If you happen to check out my Pinterest boards, you’ll see I LOVE cooking (well, eating!), I own WAY too many clothes, and am a pretty crafty, artsy person.  I love to try new recipes (most of which I find on Pinterest) and I will do my best to post pictures, and honest results, of each finished product.  As far as fashion, I studied apparel design in college, which just means I have spent an obscene amount of time coordinating closet after closet of dream wardrobes!! None of which I actually own 😉 However, I will try to share a few of my favorite outfits with you! (90-100% of them are mom-friendly)

Lastly, I live on farm in rural Iowa for the past 2.5 years and are SLOWLY (strongly emphasize the SLOW part) remodeling his grandparents’ house that was built in 1895.  We often tell people it’s a lot of old, with virtually none of the charm…it saves me from repeating 10+ times that, “No, we didn’t find any original hard wood floors, beautiful doors, crown molding, etc.”.  And I will do my best to post updates on how the house renovation is going.

Thanks for stopping by the blog. I am looking forward to spending a lot more time together!!
